Profound quote from Defenseless Christianity

Periodically, too often in fact, we hear of people who believe that too much emphasis on the denomination’s peace stance is a hindrance to evangelism. That argument ought to be rejected out of hand. If the denomination is not a peace church, it is not reflecting the nonviolent story of Jesus as developed in defenseless Christianity. If evangelism is not about being a peace church, then the gospel proclaimed in that evangelism is not faithful to the life and story of Jesus.¹
