Timelines and Maps from Knowledge Quest/Bramley Books

I just wanted to put in a good word for one of my favorite companies, Knowledge Quest/Bramley Books. Right now they are having a great sale on their Wonders of Old timelines and a pre-publication sale on their Map Trek Hardcover Atlas + Outline Maps on CD-ROM. We are not able to order ours at this time, but I didn’t want anyone else to miss out and I wanted to introduce you to a great product if you hadn’t already heard about them.

The Wonders of Old timelines are my favorite! My plan is to purchase one for each boy. The idea of having a hardcover timeline like this one is that throughout their schooling experience they can record important figures, events, and dates on their timeline. At the end of their schooling adventure they will have a handy book to look back on with all the things they learned about throughout the years and to reference back to easily, any time they need to. With the sale going on right now, one could easily afford to purchase a copy for each child.

I am also really excited about the Hardcover Atlas. I have been holding out for Knowledge Quest to release a complete hardcover version of all the beautiful maps they have put together over the years. Here’s a description from the website to show you what is included-

1. A full color teacher’s answer map that will help you tremendously.

2. An unlabeled student map for your child to color in and label.

3. Lesson Plans to help you know what to assign to each of your children at their various stages of learning. There are lesson plans included for all 350+ outline maps and are broken down into 3 levels – Level A (grades 1-4), Level B (grades 5-8) and Level C (grades 9-12).

So, this is what you get by the numbers…

  • 250 Full-color teacher answer maps.
  • 350 Blank outline maps for the student.
  • Instructions for how to use these maps
  • 15 Grid Maps
  • 10 Blank Grids
  • Lesson Plans
  • Glossary of terms
  • 3 Bonus Map Sets
  • 650 total pages

It makes me giddy just to think about how wonderful this atlas would be to own! So what are you waiting for? This sale ends Monday, July 19, 2010, so go check it out!
