Baby Steps in Refurbishing

Today I took my first (and possibly last for quite some time) steps in recovering some chairs my Mom picked up for us a few months ago. We are also planning on repainting our dining room with some paint I got for free last year during a Glidden promotion. The color is called “Luscious Mango”. I can’t wait to get it up! The fabric I found for the chairs is an almost exact match, too.

So here are a few before and after pictures of the chairs.

I think I might even be able to wash the fabric that I took off the chairs for use in some later project, hopefully. Stuff like this makes me feel so thrifty! The paint=free, the fabric=$6, the vinyl covering=$4, the chairs=free (they were a gift), so basically I am redoing my whole dining room for about $10 plus labor. It might total $20 when I find a table cloth to blend and some nice fabric for curtains, but that is still pretty inexpensive.
