		<description>I&#039;m not sure they thought of themselves as establishing a nation at this point. I would deduce, from the constant reference to the Kign, that they considered themselves an extension of the British empire. However, they say their purpose in establishing this particular colony is threefold: &quot;Having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith and honour of our king &amp; country.&quot; Since Scripture tells us it is a blessing for a nation to have the LORD as its God, I can see how it is an honor to the king and the entire country to establish a colony whose purpose is to glorify God and advance the faith.</description>
